Teens Succeeding in College & Beyond

The Teens Rise Foundation wants to ensure that youth have a mentor in their lives who encourages growth and development and serves as a connection to needed resources.

Teens Rise Mentorship Program
We empower communities and young adults to experience positive growth when entering college and the workforce. Our mentorship program pairs college students with mentors who guide them through their college experience, providing college and career guidance, supporting their professional development, and helping with anything along the way - figuring out a major, getting ready to graduate, applying to grad school, launching a career, or changing jobs.

No matter what comes up, we are there to support the process!

Mentor-Mentee Relationships

Our mentorship program pairs college students with mentors who guide them through their college experience, provide career guidance, and support their professional and personal development.

Access to a mentorship program enables mentors to directly impact the lives of deserving students and provides mentees a pathway of learning that lends exposure to a specific industry, the business world, and a role model.

As a first-generation college student, I had no one to tell me what college was like, more specifically, nursing school. My mentor has allowed me to build my confidence and provide real-world advice ensuring I am on the right path. Having someone who understands my challenges has given me the clarity and support I need. With her guidance, I’ve grown not just as a student but as a future healthcare professional. Through the Teens Rise Mentorship program, my college journey is facilitated and has positively influenced my progress.

Mentorship FAQ’s

  • Are you a high school student preparing for college? Join the Teens Rise Mentorship Program! Simply complete our Mentee application here or reach out to our Executive Director at gaby@teensrise.org. We’re excited to connect you with a mentor and support your journey to success!

  • There is no fee associated with joining the Teens Rise Mentorship Program. Mentors for the Teens Rise Mentorship Program donate their time to impact and influence the future of Teens Rise Foundation mentees.

  • The time commitment for the program is flexible and decided between the Mentor and Mentee, though we recommend a minimum of one year. Incoming college students are paired with experienced college students during their first year. After two years in the program, participants have the opportunity to grow further by becoming a Mentee to a seasoned professional in their field of interest, while also serving as a Mentor to a new incoming college student.

  • If you already have someone in mind to be your mentor, share our program details with them or email us for support in guiding them through the process. We’re here to help you make the connection!

  • Thank you for your interest in becoming a mentor! Our program is only possible because of dedicated volunteers like you. To get started, please email our Executive Director, Gaby Millan, at gaby@teensrise.org. We look forward to welcoming you to the Teens Rise community!

  • Yes! You can support us in several ways - 1) Donate to our program, 2) Host a networking event at your company 3) Organize a shadow day for a student 4) Arrange a field trip for a group of students or 5) Recommend a company to get involved.
